Geo Metro Picture

The Geo Metro is not the flashiest nor the trendiest or the fastest. It won't give you the hair-raising ride some crave for or the power to tow a U-haul. Instead, it's a car that sprang in the 80's because of the sudden market for economical compact cars.

The work revolution for young teenagers and wives has boomed. It is not unfamiliar for families to own two or three cars. The need for economical and practical cars surged. As the years passed by since its conception in 1985, the Geo evolved to become the small car with big ideas. It was very cheap, practical and economical in gas mileage. It only  sported a 1 liter 3 cylinder engine. The Geo wasn?t designed for racing, it was a people mover, just enough to get you from one point to another without the hassle of public commute. The idea though died down in1998, the Geo was now known as the Chevrolet Metro and by 2001 the whole metro concept just faded away.
